Again, thanks for the information guys.
The pics above look uncannily like my soundboard! Yes it has an integral bass bar.
I have the strad poster dimensions to work from so I guess I'll try and smooth it to that, then fit a new bass bar. Should be fun.
I need to get a concave thumb plane - the only ibex thumbplane I have is flat. |

Do check thicknesses before beginning. You will notice that the one in the photo is not entirely smooth. You can only do so much before you are likely to over thin. _________________ Chet Bishop
