Its getting that time of year to start dropping suggestions for Christmas. What are you asking Santa for this year?
Last year I got a upper block clamp that goes under the fingerboard, a copy of "The Violin Maker" by Marchese, AND "Stradivari's GEnius" by Faber! Pretty good haul, but I made my suggestions early, got to the front of the line.
Year before that it was a Violin/Viola Graduating Caliper. Great choice, and one of my very favorite tools. Can you believe I was using an old-fashioned outside caliper before that? Lots of counting knob turns.
This year, I'd like a double to sit and watch TV with the wife so I can get some work done in the shop!! _________________ Dave in the Blue Ridge

They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder.... so I stay in the shop, and after 39 years, my bride must be very fond of me! Although for some reason that is not always apparent.
Ask Santa for forgiveness.

Colt 1911A1, extra clip, and a bottle of real Unicum (not the Americanized Zwack stuff). _________________ -C.S. |
