There is no league table for factory violins and maybe the world would be better if every Violin Factory was burned to the ground. But players have to start somewhere if only to confirm their hatred of learning to play .
The question asked on Google comes up with Olaf describing the Cannone violin made hundreds of years ago .This is like libraries with Tune a day next to Tchaikovsky Concerto on the same shelf .
What would be a good start? A Factory that glues stuff together with Hide glue.Is that too much to ask? The VSO acronym is easy to escape any deep analysis . There must be something wrong with the thing---but what is it ?Nobody will ever know. Mountains of wood will be turned to firewood en route from the factories .What a complete waste .Maple trees destined for land fill sites with a delay on ebay . How sad is that ?
Is there a factory making saveable violins somewhere in the world .
A basic general dishonesty is the hallmark for a large portion of the violin making world.This is the labelling feature , Tell as many whoppers as you can on a violin label .Acceptable dishonesty reigns .
Shreaking fluorescent pink violins pressed out of plywood with a Stradivarius label to complete the joke .
What is this insanity ? It`s laughable and the VSO commenters will never take one apart to understand what all this waste of wood is about . The work is not in even basic carpentry but rather psychology and deception .It all has a sad and nasty flavour .
But is there just one factory doing it`s best to make a few that do work . How did French bow makers manage to do so well ? But those were all made by one person at a time . Japan has developed some impressive automation for bow making . Maybe Yamaha is doing the same with violins .

Searching for comparisons between factory violins only shows videos about comparisons between factory and hand made violins . Just a chart with heaviest factory violins would be useful .Thinnest and lightest or loudest would be at the bottom of the league .That would be a start. Cars have basic measurements to compare .If this was a large and busy forum we could collect information to act as a basic guide . Thick and heavy could be worked on . Maybe restrict this to smaller violins to help young learners .They have a lot to put up with already .Anything else would be child abuse .
