Greetings!
What would you say, if I put more water, will the glue (for example when gluing ribs) need more time to dry? Or will it just be weaker?
Because my glue gives me extremely small amount of time; how can I prolong that time?

Thin hide glue is weak hide glue. Weaker hide glue is often used when gluing the top, but not the back. Prolong the working time by working in a warm area. Don't work with cold pieces. Also, prepare your clamps and have them ready to place as soon as you get the glue on and the parts joined. For spool clamps, that means having them set to the right opening so that you can put them in place right away. Clamp top-bottom, left-right; opposites all around until it's all clamped tight. Let it all dry in a warm area, so that it dries slowly. Those are some bits of advice I've learned and try to practice; hope it helps.
