Here is a tool I did not know existed....Has anyone tried it for antiquing? It looks like it has possibilities.

I wasn't aware that many violins with desirable wear and tear had spent much time in sandstorms? Wink

I suspect you'll have to be the guinea pig Mat, and that the results on spruce may bring winter grain out too much. Might be useful though for special effects.

Been there, seen that, at the Bein and Fushi shop around 1985: how do you feel about a violin filled with glittery powder that won't come out? It turned out not to be useful, anyway--it's not very aggressive--but it sure made a mess.
