Manfio, Your site is incredible, You are an inspiration to many. Your work is fabulous. I am working on a viola for my wife now, this is my first attempt so I hope it turns out, even if it turns out a fraction as good as yours I will be happy! Plus your varnish...wow. Thanks again.

Manfio ~ so beautiful! The site, the instruments, and the sound. I covet young Mr. Lepage's viola, even though it would be too big for me. So lovely!

Thank you Shirley! I'm also making smaller violas now, a 41.8 cms, a bit less than 16 1/2 inches, and they are sounding as good as the big ones, there are examples on my site such as the "Nannerl" viola. Ciao!

Hi Manfio, I followed you scroll tutorial at the MN site but couild not see all of the pictures. It's great to be able to go to your new sight, which is fantastic, and find all of the pictures. Thank you for putting it all together and making it available for everyone.

Great site, and your violins are beautiful.

Chris

Thank you Chris! As a matter of fact a friend in Italy kindly joined the pictures and text in a PDF file, but in Italian. I would never be able to do that...

But someone also did the same in English, I think, google it and you will find it, I think.

I'm the guilty party that put up the English version on Scribd. I mentioned it on Manfio's original posting about making a scroll.

http://www.maestronet.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=317301&hl=scroll,AND,carving&st=100

This tutorial was very helpful for me on the last scroll I carved so thank you again Manfio! Also, I have appreciated Manfio's willingness to talk about his varnish.
