So this isn't entirely violin related but while browsing through my news feeds, I came across this unique instrument that can be bowed. Pretty bazar and makes some haunting sounds! Link below. I'd be curious if anyone ever heard one of these in person?

It sounds like what happens when you kick an old Fender guitar amp with a spring reverb in the base. More towards the end of the video.
