If you use these little quick clamps as much as I do you may notice that they slowly lose some of the travel when you squeeze them. That is a problem because that last squeeze gives it it's clamping pressure.
My first generation (made by American tool Tool) doesn't suffer as bad as the later made ones.
I found a pretty easy fix, see the picture below.
I'm using some glazing points as shims, they are trimmed and put under the spring loaded plate inside the clamp. In the photo one clamp has a shim in it. |

Those clamps are just behind Velcro and wire ties for handy. |
