Here's my #4 violin. My best one yet! I completed this one back in March but just haven't had time to put up any photos. These pics aren't great as I did them outside on a clear blue sky day ( which I found out reflects on the finish, duh!) Any ways that's what I have for now. Any comments are kindly appreciated.

congrats!! looks nice, the scroll looks good from what I can see, and color is a good one. if you can take more pics I would like to see more of the flame!

how does it sound so far??

This one is patterned from the 1721 Kruse Stradivari. It's my third instrument on that form but I flattened and widened the arching a little bit and it made a big difference in the tone. It sounds really nice and open but is really responsive when playing softly or aggressively.

The belly is Sitka 2.8 at the thickest, upper is 2.5 ave., lower is from 2.7 to 2.38 in treble lung. Back is red maple 4.38 just above center, upper bout varies 3.8 at the corners to 2.5 base upper lung. Lower bout is thinnest at 2.15 treble side lung and 2.25 base side lung. I have the grads recorded and could share more. A little on the thin side but I was going for some flex as that's what my mentor was hinting around.

I'll try and take some more pics of the scroll and the instrument in general.
