Here is a friend of mine I made in August of last year, and what she looked like when I sent her out. The customer wanted blood, blood red. Here is what she looks like this week.

Just the top. I have it tack glued together and hanging on the wall. This is once that I am just remaking the darn thing. The time spent will be less if I skip the restoration and also, improve an arching concept I have overcome.

I've replaced several crunched tops on my violins now. It's just an opportunity to do a better job, paid for by someone else. Win/win, right?
