Just finished these two new violas, both sold last week to players of the Gewandhaus Leipzig Orchestra, so my friend Andrès Lepage had no time
to take good photos of them. I had to take the photos myself for the documents, very small humble camera, humble lightining, bad photographer...
Here "Chou-Chou", after Debussy's beloved daughter:
And here "Gaspara Stampa", an Italian Renassance poet and musician:

They are awesome, detailed enough photos to me - I really like the 4th photo from the top showing the whole back view of "Chou-Chou". The strong flaming of the maple backs of both violas is quite unique and artistic, to say the least. Excellent scroll work, the matching sides - flames of back and side meeting in most places, clean varnish finish, corners, bouts, purfling, your choice of names.....what else can I say. |

Beautiful all around work as usual Manfio. With the first one it appears
that you might have used a tiny bit more scoop than the other one.
Then again, it might just be the angle of the camera, or lighting.
I hope they sing well for you. |

Very nice. I especially like your scroll work.
All the best. _________________ Randall Shenefelt |

| Those are very nice looking instruments Manfio! Is the depth of color variation a result of the lighting or is that on the instrument? I like it either way. |
