Has anyone found a reliable & affordable digital alternate to the hacklinger guage?
Cheers, Mat

Michael Molnar came up with something clever that works with your computer, a Hall effect sensor you can cobble together for about $130. Search for Digital Hacklinger at Maestronet.

Occasionally one hears of people building their own version of the magnet/spring design. You’ll find references to this over at MIMF--there are some current discussions as well as some info. in their archives.

Thanks Andres for the pointers... I have not yet searched on MIMF but have tried everything a dummy can do to search on Maestronet ... no luck. ... I think their search function is out of whack or I am!
I'll post my search problem over there and see what happens.
Cheers, Mat

Glad I'm not the only one who has trouble searching on Maestronet. MD suggested typing this into google

subject site: maestronet.com (then the subject you are looking for)

Yeah, the new board software now only works for half the types of searches I used to do, so I'm just using Google and that works fine with the above technique.

Hah, I see the upgrade has led to a temporary incompatibility between Google and Mnet. Wink
