Is there a site with sound samples of Amati instruments?I Think we all remember the Big Two character sounds but not so much Amati. The plates seem to have stretched off centre like a well used bed .That`s how pliable wood is I suppose.

Michael you really give someone like me who is getting ready too build his first violin alot to think about. I am trying to teach myself how to carve a neck first, that is probably one of the hardest parts to start with for a novice.
