As Michael mentioned, Del Gesù used "fresh" wood. I can imagine that many other important makers used fresh wood for money reasons.
I think that just a small number of makers are able to link sound and wood properties, perhaps the same can be said for wood age. In my case five years of seasoning is ok. _________________ www.manfio.com
