When making a neck for a 5 string, did you make the pegs equidistant from each other and extend the peg box a little ?
On a normal 4 string template between the two sets of strings, the spacing is longer between the g/e and the d/a .
And if you lengthen the pegbox fo you follow the curve of the 4 string , which would make the scroll head lower than normal.
thanks for any help. kevin |

Whatever your longer distance is, that is what I put between the last two on the bass side-- the whole reason for the inequality is to give room to adjust pegs that are on the same side of the pegbox...and now you have three on that side.
So if your distances are 15 and 20mm, then you have 15, 20, 15, 20, center to center...which is pretty conservative. _________________ Chet Bishop
