Has anyone used those clamps? Just thought it might be worth making a form as I get a lot of violins that the center seam is coming apart.

I had a violin that someone put a screw in the neck heel to try to hold the neck on. I used my peg hole reamer to make the hole and then made a plug to fit the hole. Wood is so easy to work with.

I an rebuilding/reworking a 3/4 violin for the first time, and I was wondering if the thickness of the top and back are the same as a 4/4.

I think I will give it a try. It is my first try at building from scratch, so all I have to lose is a little time. Thanks for the input.

Yes. I bought a mold and a bunch of spool clamps, templates, and I think, plans and thickness charts, from a lady for $20. She got them in a big box of stuff at an auction.
